The George MacDonald web site now has a totally new look and I would be very interested in knowing what you think. Rather like painting the Forth Bridge, a web site is always a work in progress - so you can expect further additions now that I am able to step back and look at the big picture again. In particular I will be working on the front page to add up to date information and some pointers where to start.
You will also notice a separate section for the George MacDonald Society. We have now merged the two web sites for ease of update but I have tried to keep them visually distinct because the Society has its own voice and should therefore be distinguished from the other pages.
For those who are interested in such things the new site was created in Rapidweaver, a very nifty piece of Mac software that, while template based, offers a fair degree of customisation and makes very good use of .css. The idea is that I will be able to concentrate on content rather than coding, which cannot be a bad thing.

Mike work, Mike. I hope with each new development it becomes easier to maintain for you. And thanks for the link to Zossima Press. Now that we're about to publish a short biography of George's son (Ronald) who lived in America for 6 years - I'll have to be in touch with you to tell you more. The book is called In The Near Loss of Everything - and includes 30 photographs and illustrations!
I love the new look. Good job!
Bravo, Mike! I am extemely happy with the new web site. Although I had feared the site was long abandoned, I have come to realize how much effort is needed to continually update and maintain a web site.
Each new feature is completely refreshing; I especially like the connection to the George MacDonald Society page. Having so much linked under one umbrella is useful.
With all this being said, thank you, Mike, for keeping this site alive.
Cheers!
Thanks, Mike, for your work on the site! I'm a relative newcomer to the writings of George MacDonald, and your site is a treasure trove. lkm
